Walking through the front door, a spacious and beautiful vestibule greats you. A set of French doors divides the entry from a grand staircase. A mixture of curved and straight run stairs creates texture and interest to the first impressions of this home.

To the right of the entry, a beautiful family heirloom frames the music room. This cozy family room is not only to play the piano, it also functions as the children playroom, or for mom’s quiet time with a hot cup of tea.

From the dining room, a burst of yellow catches your eye from the Family room. Accents of this vibrant colour brings warmth and excitement to this monochromatic room.

Opened to the family room, this tone on tone kitchen is nothing but breathtaking. An all white pallet is anchored with a beautiful painting from a Montreal artist. Different shades of pink are pulled from this colourful piece and are brought throughout the kitchen to add a bit of fun.

Going up the grand stair case, a beautiful custom library is what you walk up too. Two comfortable chairs and her grandmothers antique trunk not only make this room comfortable, but a little retreat from the rest of the house.

This is the nursery that all mothers would want. From the cozy rocker for mom to the crystal chandelier, no little girl would want anything less then this. A soft pink pallet is warmed up with an antique dresser.

This toddler's bedroom is painted in a soft shade of pink. White furnishings and veil drapery panels add a whimsical and fun touch to this little girl’s bedroom.

The colour continues in the children's bathroom. This all white room has beautiful accents of a dark teal and colourful toys. It’s playful, just like the children that use it..

Words cannot adequately describe the feeling you get when you walk into this stunning ensuite bathroom… but, tranquil and spa-like come to mind. From the detailed tile installation to the wood panelled walls, this bathroom was carefully considered and executed.

This vintage war home was purchased and renovated to create an urban city feel. Restoring the beautiful wood floors that had been covered for years and adding distressed beams create an interesting contrast to the sleek and modern kitchen and furnishings. Perhaps small, but large on the style scale!

The nautical comfort in the living area is what sets the tone for the rest of the home. Using similar colours throughout the home creates an even palette and lets the artwork and collectibles stand out and set the tone.

This residence is a perfect example of a bedroom retreat. The bedroom is a perfect combination of whites and touches of navy to make every morning waking experience a pleasurable one. This waterfront home is a perfect setting for a nautical inspired design that flatters the views of water and casual retreat feel.

The home is still a work in progress, but each room is very much enjoyed as it is completed.

This bedroom is a sure way to make any guest feel right at home — from plush linens and fresh flowers, to the calming colour palette. Awaiting their first child, this room is an easy transition to a spectacular nursery.

A reclaimed door at the end of a hallway highlights a quilt cabinet. Lighting attracts visitors to see what lies behind. This linen closet is more like a home for Mémére's quilts, and although the quilts are on display, they are still used and loved every day.

This home office is not only a work space, it is as getaway. Picking up a great book and cozying up in the oversized chair is the perfect way to spend a Sunday.

This stunning beach house is a wonderful example of new residential construction. From the house plans to the stemware, The Designers Den helped these clients achieve their dream home. Going from city living, to calm waters, the interior reflects exactly that: soft pastel walls, paper white cabinetry and the soft white Carrera marble accents. This home is a true paradise and will be loved for many years to come.

This down town row house was transformed with minimal renovations. Revamping the cabinetry and changing lighting made this plain, un-attractive space stand out and come alive. Open shelving modernized the contemporary space and the touch of transitional furnitures made it a warm space to come home too.

Overstuffed pillows and fluffed up duvets make any bedroom one you want to end your day in. This small but comfortable bedroom has that and more. A bold colour on the walls is lightened with the white touches throughout the room. The modest but very pretty crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling enriches and adds sparkle to this bedroom retreat.

The deep yellow of the French doors adds brighteness and cheer to this room. The sunny colour is used throughout the entire living space, ensuring the monochromatic palette is timeless and interesting.
